Biography

Dermatologist Amanda Zubek, MD, PhD, had a precancerous mole surgically removed at the age of 11, which led to over 20 additional atypical moles being taken over a decade. This experience inspired her to pursue a career in dermatology. With a strong family history of melanoma, she is keenly aware of the dangers of UV radiation. Dr. Zubek teaches at the Yale School of Medicine as an assistant professor of dermatology, where she enjoys mentoring residents, medical students, nursing students, and physician assistants while teaching them to manage a wide variety of challenging skin conditions. Apart from her work in dermatology education, she is the director of Yale Medicine Dermatology's Middlebury office and has a special interest in nail disorders. She takes great pleasure in working directly with patients to address their skin challenges and educate them on ways to improve their overall skin health. Dr. Zubek is dedicated to treating disorders that have a profound impact on patients’ quality of life, both physically and emotionally.
