Dr. Amarachi Wachuku

Biography

Amarachi Wachuku is an Instructor at Michigan State University with a Master of Public Health. She is passionate about building collaborative partnerships to create lasting change in addressing disparities and social determinants of health in disadvantaged communities. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to work on community-based public health programs and initiatives from both academic and community worker perspectives to improve community health education. Amarachi enjoys using performing arts as a platform to communicate and facilitate conversations around healthy lifestyle changes. She firmly believes that creative and holistic interventions can leave a lasting positive impact on health outcomes in communities across the nation. Teaching graduate public health students is a long-term goal of hers, and she hopes to pass on her appreciation and knowledge of holistic public health solutions, learned from her professors and mentors. Her future aspirations include engaging in international public health policy relations and continuing her career as a public health researcher and professor.
