Biography

Amarjit Gill has been teaching full-time for over 20 years at the undergraduate and graduate levels, focusing on corporate finance, risk insurance, entrepreneurial finance, security analysis, investments, and personal finance. He has been nominated four times for the Teaching Excellence Award by the Student Union at the University of Saskatchewan over the past seven years. With two decades of experience in the Canadian financial management service sector, Gill has participated in dissertation committees for corporate finance topics and has successfully supervised seven Ph.D. students alongside numerous undergraduate students. He has also served as an external examiner for Ph.D. programs and has reviewed research papers for finance management journals. Gill has published extensively in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals such as the International Journal of Managerial Finance, International Journal of Finance & Economics, and Managerial Finance Journal. His research has received over 7,250 citations, and he regularly presents at international conferences. His research interests include capital structure, family control, cost of capital, working capital management, and corporate governance.
