Dr. Ambarish Vaidyanathan

Biography

Ambarish Vaidyanathan is an Adjunct Assistant Professor and a health scientist at the National Center for Environmental Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). With a diverse training and work experience spanning various areas including environmental engineering, data science, exposure assessment, and statistical modeling and simulation, he focuses on environmental population health. His expertise also extends to geographic information systems (GIS). Vaidyanathan has years of experience in planning, coordinating, and implementing strategies to facilitate the conduct of environmental health surveillance and translational research projects. He has established mutually beneficial collaborations with academic institutions and federal agencies such as the EPA, NASA, NOAA, and USDA to identify and characterize populations vulnerable to adverse health impacts from environmental stressors. His contributions are made in a private capacity and do not intend to imply official support or endorsement from the CDC.
