Biography

Dr. Amir H. Chinaei obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo in 2007. He received his MSc and BSc degrees in Software Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology—Tehran Polytechnic—and Isfahan University, Iran, respectively. With 20 years of experience in the software industry and in academic departments of computer science engineering, Dr. Chinaei has coached over 100 students in developing fully-fledged information systems. His work has been recognized with a Teaching Excellence award for Computer Science at the University of Toronto. He has taught at various institutions prior to his appointment at York University in 2017.
