Biography

Amirali Aghazadeh received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in 2010 and earned his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rice University in 2017. He joined Georgia Tech in the Fall of 2022, having spent years in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley, and in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Stanford as a Postdoctoral Scholar. Aghazadeh is a recipient of the Berkeley Postdoctoral Association Professional Development Award and the Hershel M. Rich Invention Award for his doctoral thesis. His research connects Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Applied Mathematics to cutting-edge problems in genomics and biology. He focuses on various aspects of these fields, exploring their applications in biological systems and the optimization of complex processes.
