Amit Khanna, MD, is an Assistant Professor at Yale School of Medicine in the Department of Surgery. He serves as the Regional Director of Colon Rectal Surgery for the Bridgeport region, responsible for leading the provision of colorectal surgical services in collaboration with the Digestive Health service line and Smilow Cancer Hospital Network teams. With over 20 years of experience as a high-volume surgeon, Dr. Khanna specializes in minimally invasive treatment options for managing inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal malignancy, and anorectal diseases. His clinical focus areas include colorectal oncology, complex abdominal disease, and benign rectal diseases. Dr. Khanna emphasizes the importance of a trusting relationship with patients, aiming to educate and provide options tailored to individual preferences.
