Biography

Amjad Anvari-Moghaddam received his PhD degree from the University of Tehran in 2015, specializing in Power Systems Engineering. He is currently a Full Professor and the leader of the iGRIDS Research Group at the Department of Energy at Aalborg University. In addition, he coordinates the Integrated Energy Systems Laboratory (IES-Lab). Anvari-Moghaddam is an alternative member of the Council on Energy Efficient Transition for the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities and serves on several committees for research in energy systems, including working groups focused on energy transition, sustainability, and standardization in electrical energy systems. His research contributions have earned him recognition as one of the World's Top 1% Highly-Cited Researchers and a Top 2% Highly-Cited Scientist by Stanford University. He has received numerous accolades, including the IEEE-CS Outstanding Leadership Award and various fellowships.
