Dr. Amy Cohn

Biography

Amy M. Cohn is the Arthur F. Thurnau Professor in the Department of Industrial and Operations Engineering at the University of Michigan, with an additional appointment in the Department of Health Management and Policy in the School of Public Health. She is also the Associate Director of the Center for Healthcare Engineering and Patient Safety (CHEPS). Cohn's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Operations Research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an A.B. in Applied Mathematics, magna cum laude, from Harvard University. Her primary research interests revolve around applied combinatorial optimization, with a focus on healthcare and aviation. Cohn's work addresses challenging optimization problems that involve multiple objective criteria, aiming to enhance business operations analytics and mobility in transportation networks.
