Dr. Amy Hobeika

Biography

Amy Claudine Hobeika is an Assistant Professor at Duke University in the Department of Surgery. She completed her Ph.D. at the University of Florida and has held various positions including Postdoctoral Associate and Laboratory Technician also at the University of Florida. Her research primarily focuses on breast cancer and immunology, with several active grants from the Department of Defense aimed at understanding and developing immunotherapeutic strategies for cancer treatment. These include projects on the immune responses to breast cancer, detection and elimination of oncogenic signaling networks, and the development of vaccines to prevent resistance to endocrine therapy. Hobeika's work has significantly contributed to the field of oncology, particularly in the context of cancer vaccines and the immune landscape of breast cancer.
