Dr. Amy Sepinwall

Biography

Amy Sepinwall is an Associate Professor in the Legal Studies & Business Ethics Department at the University of Pennsylvania. Her academic journey includes a Ph.D. from Georgetown University, a J.D. from Yale Law School, and dual B.A. degrees in English and Philosophy from McGill University. Since joining the Wharton School in 2009, she has held various positions including Lecturer and Assistant Professor before attaining her current role with tenure. Her research interests encompass corporate constitutional rights, issues of gender and racial justice, the intersection of individual and collective responsibilities, and financial wrongdoing from a legal perspective. As a published author, she has contributed to numerous academic journals, addressing topics from complicity in corporate conduct to the moral implications of discrimination in public accommodations. Outside of academia, Sepinwall is involved in community service, serving as a Board Member and Board Development Chair of the Downtown Baltimore Family Alliance. Her work is recognized through several awards, including multiple Wharton Teaching Awards and a fellowship from Princeton University. Sepinwall also engages with legal debates and contributes to discussions on ethics in business, reflecting her commitment to fostering responsible corporate practices in society.
