Biography

Amy Stone is an accomplished architect with a passion for sustainable design and equity architecture. As a triple Jacket from Georgia Tech, she earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Architecture (2011, 2020) and an MBA from the Scheller College of Business (2023). Amy's connection to Georgia Tech is profound, having contributed to projects such as the Kendeda Building for Innovative Sustainable Design during its conceptual phase for Tech Square Phase 3. With extensive design management expertise across a diverse range of project types, Amy has worked on commercial office spaces, commercial building repositioning, multi-family housing, higher education, mixed-use developments, adaptive reuse, and residential renovations. Her expertise spans all phases of design and construction, ensuring innovative and sustainable outcomes. Amy is a dedicated contributor to Madame Architect, an online magazine celebrating extraordinary women shaping the world through their dynamic career paths in the architectural profession. She has contributed interviews with notable figures and has been featured in recognized outlets like Fast Company and Metropolis Magazine. Currently, Amy is a part-time assistant professor at Kennesaw State University, where she teaches Design Communications, Introduction to Structures, and Professional Practice: Building Codes and Technical Documentation. In her spare time, she enjoys triathlons, photography, and playing piano.
