Biography

Amy E. Street is an Associate Professor at Boston University's Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry. She completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Georgia in 1998 and has an extensive background in research focusing on the psychological impacts of military service on women veterans, particularly addressing posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other stress-related disorders. Street serves as the Deputy Director of the Women's Health Sciences Division at the National Center for PTSD and Co-Director for the Psychology Track of the VHA Advanced Fellowship in Women's Health. Her research investigates negative health outcomes associated with interpersonal trauma, including sexual harassment and intimate partner violence, and her work has received funding from the VA and National Institutes of Health. Street has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and has participated in numerous research and education advisory committees focused on the needs of female service members. She has also received various awards, including the Leadership Award from the Association for VA Psychology Leaders in 2012 and was an invited attendee at the American Psychological Association's Leadership Institute for Women in Psychology in 2013.
