She has served as program director for the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Africa Program and worked in significant capacities for various conservation programs, reinforcing her expertise in governance-focused approaches within conservation. Dr. Vedder is a co-editor of 'African Rain Forest Ecology and Conservation' and has authored scientific articles, speaking to academic and public audiences. She currently teaches conservation-in-practice seminars and co-leads conservation study tours in Rwanda.
