Biography

Amy Wrzesniewski is the William Jacalyn Egan Professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her BA from the University of Pennsylvania and her PhD in Organizational Psychology from the University of Michigan. Prior to joining the Wharton faculty, she held positions at the Yale School of Management and the Stern School of Business at New York University. Her studies in job crafting investigate how individuals redefine their task, relational, and cognitive boundaries to change their work identity and the significance they attribute to their jobs. Professor Wrzesniewski has been recognized with awards such as the “Inspiring Yale” Award, presented by students at Yale’s School of Management, and the Herbert Simon Award for research excellence in 2019.
