Dr. Amymarie Bartholomew

Biography

Amymarie Bartholomew is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Yale University. She earned her B.S. from Yale University in 2013 and her Ph.D. from Harvard University in 2019. Following her doctoral studies, she was an Arnold O. Beckman Postdoctoral Fellow at Columbia University from 2019 to 2022. Her research primarily explores the synthesis and properties of stimuli-responsive materials. The Bartholomew Lab employs both inorganic and organic synthesis techniques to design materials with specific properties controlled by light, pressure, temperature, and the presence of guest molecules. Her lab focuses on applications in electronics, memory storage, sensing, microactuation, and solar energy. Bartholomew's recent publications include significant contributions to the understanding of the design and function of these materials, including studies on metal-organic frameworks and innovative applications in chemistry.
