Biography

Ana-Maria Raclariu is a Lecturer in Theoretical Physics in the Department of Mathematics at King's College London. Her research addresses a range of topics within classical quantum gravity, particularly focusing on the holographic aspects of gravity in asymptotically flat spacetimes. Ana's research aims to uncover properties of holographic 'celestial' conformal field theories and their universal properties in the context of real-world gravitational systems, such as black holes. She received her BA in Natural Sciences and MMath from the University of Cambridge and completed her PhD at Harvard University in 2020 under the supervision of Professor Andrew Strominger. Additionally, Ana was a Stephen Hawking postdoctoral fellow at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics and a Heising-Simons MCSA postdoctoral fellow at the University of Amsterdam before joining King’s College London in 2024. She is also an affiliate member of the Heising-Simons collaboration on observational signatures of quantum gravity.
