Biography

Dr. Ana C. Blanchard is a pediatric infectious disease specialist and medical advisor in infection prevention at CHU Sainte-Justine. Following her training in pediatric infectious diseases at SickKids, she completed additional research training in hospital epidemiology and in the treatment of infections related to cystic fibrosis at the University of Toronto. She also obtained a master's degree with a thesis in clinical epidemiology. She is developing a research career in the field of infections among at-risk populations, particularly children with cystic fibrosis. Additionally, she is interested in nosocomial infections and antimicrobial resistance.
