Dr. Ana De La O Torres

Biography

Ana Lorena De La O is an Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science at Yale University, where she also serves as the Director of the Program in Ethics, Politics, and Economics. Her research focuses on the political economy of poverty alleviation and clientelism in the provision of public goods. She is the author of the book 'Crafting Policies to End Poverty in Latin America' published by Cambridge University Press and has contributed articles to prestigious journals such as the American Journal of Political Science, Journal of Politics, Comparative Political Studies, Quarterly Journal of Political Science, and Annals of the American Academy of Political and Social Sciences. De La O earned her Ph.D. in Political Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2007 and teaches courses on political economy, poverty alleviation, paradigms of political economy, and quantitative research methods.
