Biography

Ana Inés Torres is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, with a focus on process systems engineering and sustainability. In her career, she has served on the faculty at the Universidad de la República, Montevideo, Uruguay, and has received recognitions such as the NSF CAREER award and has been selected as a consultant for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). Known for her contributions to sustainable chemistry, Torres has presented at multiple conferences and serves as an associate editor for Clean Technologies and Environmental Policy.
