Biography

Dr. Ana Wing completed her medical degree in 2006 and pursued a residency in Neurology, which she completed in 2011 at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro. Following this, she undertook a one-year fellowship at the Centre de Esclerosi Multiple de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain. After returning to Brazil, she completed her Master's degree and subsequently obtained her Ph.D. in Neuroscience. In 2016, Dr. Wing relocated to Canada, where she completed a fellowship at Western University in London, Ontario, followed by another fellowship at the University of Toronto. In 2020, she started her position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at Queen's University. Her primary research focus is on neuroimmunology, particularly in the context of Multiple Sclerosis and other demyelinating diseases of the Central Nervous System. Dr. Wing is also interested in Medical Education and enhancing patient-centered care.
