Biography

Anand Bhattad is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Johns Hopkins University, where he leads the Pixels, Perception, Physics (3P) Vision Group. He earned his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he was advised by David Forsyth. Before joining Johns Hopkins, he served as a research assistant professor at the Toyota Technological Institute in Chicago, and he was a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, hosted by Alexei Efros. Anand's research interests involve the comparison of human perception insights, which inform the design of generative systems grounded in physical principles of perception.
