Dr. Ananda Goldrath

Biography

Ananda Goldrath is a Professor and holds the Presidential Chair in Molecular Biology at the University of California, San Diego. Her research focuses on immunological memory, particularly the mechanisms by which CD8+ T cells achieve long-term immunity following infection. Her work investigates the transcriptional signaling events that regulate the survival and differentiation of T cells during immune responses, with the goal of understanding how CD8+ T cells can be maintained as long-lived memory T cells. Goldrath's contributions to the field have significantly advanced the understanding of memory T cell formation and the signaling pathways involved in this crucial aspect of the immune response.
