Ananda Mirchandani is a Wellcome Trust Career Development Award Fellow at the Centre for Inflammation Research, focusing on critical illness, especially the effects of critical illness-induced bone marrow hypoxia and its long-term consequences on immunity in ICU survivors. His ongoing research investigates the molecular mechanisms driving altered monopoiesis associated with ICU admissions, utilizing human samples and advanced methodologies such as multi-colour spectral flow cytometry and in-vivo multiphoton imaging.
