Biography

Anastasia M. Lintner is a passionate public interest advocate focusing on sustainability law and policy. Currently serving as Principal at Lintner Law, she also works as Special Projects Counsel for Healthy Great Lakes at the Canadian Environmental Law Association. Prior to entering private practice in 2014, she was a staff lawyer and economist at Ecojustice Canada for over a decade. Dr. Lintner holds a PhD in natural resource and environmental economics from the University of Guelph and has taught and researched at various post-secondary institutions, including the University of Guelph, Wilfrid Laurier University, Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador, Balsillie School of International Affairs, Osgoode Hall Law School, and Queen’s University. Her legal career has afforded her the opportunity to combine economic and legal arguments in Supreme Court of Canada cases related to the valuation of sensitive environmental lands, particularly those intersecting with insolvency protection and environmental clean-up obligations. Dr. Lintner specializes in environmental assessment, conservation, and water law, as well as Ontario's Environmental Bill of Rights.
