Biography

Anders Bach is a Professor in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Copenhagen, where he leads the Bach Group in the Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology. He obtained his Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry in 2009 from the University of Copenhagen, focusing on the development of compounds targeting PDZ domains involved in protein-protein interactions. In 2023, he was appointed as a Professor and continues to contribute to the scientific community through teaching and research in drug discovery. Dr. Bach is also a co-founder of Avilex Pharma, a company dedicated to developing innovative therapeutic solutions for ischemic strokes, anchored by his significant contributions in medicinal chemistry research and development.
