Biography

Anderson Mora received his BSc in Psychology from the Catholic University of Bogotá, Colombia. He has years of experience working in clinical neuropsychology in various organizations within the city. In 2008, he started his MSc at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium, specializing in artificial intelligence with an emphasis on cognitive science. For his master's thesis, he worked on decoding imagined limb movements using Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) technology. In 2010, he returned to Colombia, where he taught at various universities for 1.5 years before beginning his doctoral program. In 2012, he enrolled in the Biomedical Science Doctoral School at KU Leuven, focusing on Computational Neuroscience and working on natural language models for BCI. By 2014, he continued his PhD at the University of Amsterdam within the Brain & Cognition department, where his thesis evaluated the implementation of visual techniques (SSVEP) in studying the psychophysiology of spatial-temporal attention. Anderson joined Erasmus University College (EUC) in 2018. Given his extensive teaching experience, particularly with the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) system, he finds working at EUC to be a rewarding and intellectually stimulating experience.
