Biography

Andonea Dickson is a Research Fellow focusing on immigration detention within the School of Social and Political Science. Her research explores themes of migration, borders, and the role of carcerality in governance of human migration. She completed her PhD on evolving practices of migration governance through ad hoc strategies aimed at controlling work and containing migrants across maritime geographies. Furthermore, she engages with data analytics to improve the department's website and work with advertising partners to provide personalized advertisements related to events and services of interest.
