Biography

Andrada Delia Neacsiu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health with training in clinical psychology. Her primary interest revolves around outpatient interventions for individuals experiencing emotional difficulties affecting their overall well-being. With specializations in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), she works with adults facing a range of mental health issues including personality disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, eating disorders, trauma, and stress-related conditions. Neacsiu adopts a collaborative approach in psychotherapy, helping patients to identify their unique life goals and implementing evidence-based interventions to achieve these goals. Her research focus is on the optimization of psychotherapy and the development of neuroscience-informed treatment strategies aimed at addressing emotion dysregulation. Neacsiu is committed to staying current with the latest evidence-based practices, integrating this knowledge into her clinical work. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys traveling, gourmet food, nature adventures, and spending time with friends and family.
