Biography

André Desbiens is a retired professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering since 1995. He works in the field of automatic control. He completed his Ph.D. in electrical engineering in 1995 and obtained a B.Sc.A. in physics engineering in 1988. Throughout his career, he has been involved in various research projects and has focused on automation and control engineering, particularly in the aspects of estimation, optimization, and data-driven control methods. He has received several awards including teaching stars from the Faculty of Sciences and Engineering in 2019, 2014, 2008, and 2007.
