Biography

André Gagnon is an Associate Professor at McGill University’s Department of Psychiatry. He graduated from Laval University in medicine in 1976 and is a psychiatrist, psychoanalyst, and family therapist. He was the clinical director of the Adopsychiatry program at C.H. Pierre-Janet and has made significant contributions to the field of adolescent psychiatry, particularly in the areas of psychoses and suicide. Gagnon has published several articles on these topics and is the author of 'Démystifier les Maladies Mentales. Les troubles de l’enfance et de l’adolescence', which was released by Gaëtan Morin in 2001. He was previously an Associate Professor at the University of Ottawa, where he also served as the first director of Continuing Medical Education.
