Biography

Andre Lukas is a Professor of Theoretical Physics at the University of Oxford, where he heads the Theoretical Physics group. His research primarily focuses on fundamental particles and interactions, with a particular interest in string theory and its cosmological applications. He has worked extensively on various topics including supergravity phenomenology, quantum cosmology, and M-theory phenomenology. Lukas aims to bridge the gap between M-theory and low-energy particle physics and is investigating algorithmic algebraic geometry as it relates to physics. He has held various academic positions including a University Lectureship at Oxford, and he has been involved in significant research fellowship programs like the PPARC Advanced Fellowship. His teaching includes courses on Group Theory and Mathematical Methods, along with courses on particle physics and string theory. He actively contributes to the development of computational tools for studying string theory phenomenology.
