Professor Dr. Andrea Cortinois

Biography

Andrea Cortinois is an Assistant Professor at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. Her research interests include global migration health, the impacts of climate change and environmental degradation on health, and the social costs of migration in countries of origin. Cortinois has a rich academic background with a PhD in Health Policy, Management & Evaluation from the University of Toronto, as well as a Master of Public Health from the University of Wales College of Medicine in Cardiff, UK, and a Honours BSc in Human Biology from the Università degli Studi di Milano in Italy. She is actively involved in teaching courses related to global health, including Global Migration Health and Discovering Global Health. Her publications address significant topics in public health and technology, highlighting the use of information communication technologies to meet health needs in underserved populations. Andrea's contributions to the field have been recognized through her scholarly works published in various prestigious journals.
