Biography

Andrea Gozzi is an associate professor in sound design and electroacoustics at the Faculty of Music at the University of Montreal. He is also the associate director for artistic research at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Research in Music, Media and Technology (CIRMMT). Gozzi co-founded Mezzo Forte, a company specializing in sound augmented reality based in Meudon, France. He has taught sound design and the history of rock music at the University of Florence and sound design at the LABA Academy in Florence. As a composer and musician, he has collaborated with Italian and international artists, participating in events such as Live 8 in Rome and touring in France, Germany, England, and Canada. Gozzi has developed sound design projects for theater, museums, and multimedia books and is the author of numerous essays and books dedicated to the history of rock and musical biographies published in Italy and Canada.
