Dr. Andrea Lapointe

Biography

Andrea Lapointe joined Harvard Athletics in August 2013 and currently serves as the Senior Associate Director for Athletics and Recreation. Since June 2021, she has been in this role, having previously held the position of Assistant Director of Athletics, where she oversaw student-athlete development focusing on recreation. Additionally, Lapointe works directly with the Men's and Women's Swimming and Water Polo teams as a Program Manager. She launched the Crimson360 program in 2018, which is aimed at guiding student-athletes in leadership, life skills, community building, and professional development. Before her current role, she assisted with various internal and external events as the Assistant Director of Athletics Events Staff. She also served as Harvard's Travel Operations Coordinator, managing travel for 42 varsity sports and scheduling athletic facilities, and held the position of Athletic Event Facility Operations Intern during the 2012-13 academic year. Lapointe coordinated schedules for 17 athletic facilities and served as the Lead Manager for events, managing operational logistics for significant competitions. She earned her Master's in Science in Sports Management from Ithaca College in 2012 and has extensive experience with NCAA Division III events. Lapointe resides in Brighton, Massachusetts, and completed her Bachelor's in Arts in Media Studies with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Southern Maine in 2011.
