Biography

Andrea Mora, PharmD, is a Clinical Associate Professor and Associate Department Head at the Texas A&M Irma Lerma Rangel School of Pharmacy. With a PharmD from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy obtained in 2007, she has completed her education with training at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System specializing in Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency and a Pharmacy Practice Residency at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston. Her focus includes hospital-acquired infections, particularly associated risk factors and antimicrobial toxicities. She is dedicated to educating future pharmacists in areas of antimicrobial pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and developing resistance among Gram-negative and Gram-positive organisms, as well as the treatment of systemic fungal infections and managing conditions related to human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).
