Biography

Andrea Neto is a Full Professor and Chairman of Terahertz Sensing at the Technical University of Delft, Netherlands, associated with the Department of Microelectronics. He received his Laurea degree in electronic engineering (summa cum laude) from the University of Florence, Italy, in 1994 and completed his Ph.D. in electromagnetics at the University of Siena, Italy, in 2000. He has held postdoctoral and senior research positions at the California Institute of Technology and TNO Defence, Security and Safety, respectively. Prof. Neto specializes in applied electromagnetics, focusing on THz broadband imaging systems, antenna design with an emphasis on arrays, dielectric lens antennas, wideband antennas, and Electromagnetic Bandgap (EBG) structures. He has garnered numerous accolades, including the H.A. Wheeler Award for applications in 2008, the innovative paper prize at the 30th ESA Antenna Workshop in 2008, and the antenna theory paper prize at the European Conference on Antennas and Propagation in 2010. He is also an associate editor for several prominent journals in antenna theory and applications.
