Biography

Andrea Rockall is a Clinical Chair in Radiology at Imperial College London and an Honorary Consultant Radiologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and the Royal Marsden Hospital. She graduated from King’s College Hospital, London in 1990 and completed her radiology training at St Mary’s Hospital and University College Hospital, London. In 2000, she received the Rohan Williams Medal (Gold Medal) for her performance in the FRCR examination. Andrea was appointed as a Senior Lecturer in Diagnostic Imaging at Queen Mary University of London and served as an Honorary Consultant Radiologist at Barts London NHS Trust, working at the Royal Marsden Hospital prior to her current role. Her special interests include genitourinary cancer, image-based clinical trials, functional imaging, response assessment, and machine learning applications in radiology. She is currently the Chief Investigator for several notable trials, including the CRUK MAPPING trial focusing on cervix and endometrial cancer and NIHR trials MALIBO and MALIMAR, which explore machine learning in medical imaging. Additionally, she is involved in the MROC trial, a multicenter UK study evaluating multi-parametric MRI in suspected and confirmed ovarian cancer.
