Biography

Andrea Rosà is a Senior Researcher and Lecturer at the Faculty of Informatics of Università della Svizzera italiana (USI). He works with the Dynamic Analysis Group (DAG) and received his PhD in Informatics from USI in 2018, where he was advised by Prof. Walter Binder. Prior to his PhD, Andrea obtained both his MSc and BSc in Computer Science Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano. His research is focused on understanding and removing performance inefficiencies in large-scale systems, with a particular emphasis on managed runtimes. His research interests and expertise encompass the analysis and optimization of large-scale parallel distributed systems, concurrent computing frameworks, compiler optimizations, and benchmarking.
