Biography

Professor Andreas Archenti is actively engaged in research within the precision-driven field of manufacturing metrology systems. He has held a chair position focusing on Industrial Dependability with an emphasis on Precision Engineering at KTH Royal Institute of Technology since 2018. He earned his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Mechatronics in 2007 and completed his PhD in Machine Process Technology in 2011. In 2014, he was appointed docent in Precision Manufacturing Metrology at KTH. Archenti serves as the Director of the Center for Design Management in Manufacturing Systems (DMMS) at KTH, coordinating research and educational activities that bridge academia and manufacturing industry. His research interests include Precision Engineering and strategic processes leveraging advanced knowledge and technologies to develop novel or significantly improved products and systems. His work spans various industries, including aerospace, automotive, and medical, focusing on the pivotal role of precision engineering in ensuring product quality and reliability.
