Biography

Andreas Nordin has been a lecturer at the University of Gothenburg since 1994, with a teaching background that includes sixth-form instruction in Swedish, English, and Latin. His teaching experience encompasses undergraduate courses in English linguistics, specializing in grammar, phonetics, and academic writing in English. In the spring term of 2017, he also taught Latin grammar as part of an introductory course in the Latin department. Between 2001 and 2008, Nordin regularly taught English grammar at the Gothenburg program of the University of Sussex in Brighton, Great Britain, while concurrently writing his doctoral thesis in English linguistics. He has authored and published two Latin primers aimed primarily at sixth-form students and those in introductory university Latin courses between 2001 and 2016. Additionally, in 1997, he published a translation from Latin to Swedish of Getica by Jordanes, which traces the origin and history of the Goths. His works contribute significantly to the field of Latin and English linguistics.
