Biography

Andreas studied physics at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, graduating with a master’s degree in theoretical physics from the University of Amsterdam, where he obtained his PhD. He subsequently held postdoctoral positions at Yale University, CERN, and Los Alamos National Laboratory. In 2021, he was awarded a University Research Fellowship from the Royal Society and joined King’s College London. His research spans a variety of topics within quantum field theory, particularly focusing on the renormalisation group and conformal field theories. He investigates high-energy experiments performed at various energy scales, studying how the observed parameters and interaction strengths depend on energy scale. Common features of renormalisation group flows are explored, including how energy scales affect the dependence of physical theories. His work aims to chart the space of conformal field theories and their renormalisation group flows, connecting these studies to motivated applications in critical phenomena, condensed matter physics, particle physics, and gravity/string theory.
