Professor Dr. Andree Hartanto

Biography

Andree Hartanto is an Associate Professor at the School of Social Sciences, Singapore Management University. He completed his PhD at Singapore Management University in 2018. His academic qualifications also include an MSc from Singapore Management University in 2016 and a BS from James Cook University in 2013. His research interests encompass Bilingualism, Emotion, Cognitive Development, Aging, Technology, and Healthy Aging. He has served as a Research Advisor or Co-Research Advisor for several students, guiding them through various psychological research projects. Dr. Hartanto is actively involved in teaching and has developed courses on Introduction to Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, and Research Methods, contributing to the academic growth of students at SMU. His extensive research in the field has positioned him as a notable figure within the domain of psychology, especially in studies examining the interplay between technology and aging-related processes. As the recipient of the Lee Kong Chian Fellowship and ResWORK Fellowship, he is recognized for his contributions to research and academic excellence in social sciences.
