Biography

Andrei Irimia is a Visiting Associate Professor at King's College London and a member of the ARK Advisory Board. He is a biogerontologist and computational neurobiologist focusing on the effects of genetic, epigenetic, and environmental factors on brain aging. His lab utilizes interpretable deep learning, genomics, and brain imaging techniques to identify and characterize novel risk factors associated with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD). He is also affiliated with the Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing within the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience at King's College London. He extensively collaborates in cross-faculty research efforts in aging and healthy longevity, contributing to the development of biomarkers for neurocognitive disorders and novel strategies for the early diagnosis of age-related diseases.
