Biography

Andréia Vargas-Seymour is a Senior Teaching Fellow at the Educational Development Centre at Imperial College London, specializing in educational development and scholarship. She holds a PhD in Genetics Molecular Biology from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil, as well as an MRes in Genetics Molecular Biology and an MEd in University Learning and Teaching from Imperial College London. Since joining Imperial in 2019, Andréia has taught several modules within the BSc Medical Biosciences program, serving as a personal tutor for BMB students. In 2023, she began her role as a Digital Education Transformation Fellow, focusing on training students and staff and engaging in various academic initiatives. Andréia is also a co-director of the PG Cert ULT and leads a core module on Student Learning. She actively collaborates with colleagues in the Faculty of Medicine to organize and deliver GenAI Shorts sessions for Imperial staff.
