Biography

Andrew led the school's teaching activity in real estate from 2009 to 2021, establishing the Oxford Future Real Estate Initiative in 2017, which is an industry-supported research program focused on the impact of innovation and technology on the global real estate industry from 2025 to 2030. He is the Chairman of Newcore Capital Management, a real estate fund manager focused on alternatives, and has served as an advisor to various property organizations. Andrew began his career in 1987 as the director of property research at Prudential, where he developed expertise in property funds and international real estate investment, while also working part-time in academia. He founded a property research company, RES, in 1990, which was sold to Henderson Global Investors in 1997. In 2001, he founded OPC, another property research investment company, which was sold to CBRE Investors, leading to the creation of CBRE Global Investment Partners. His significant report, 'PropTech 3.0: Future Real Estate,' became one of the most downloaded reports from Oxford Saïd in 2017. Andrew was voted one of the top three influential people in PropTech by Lendinvest in 2017. He held a Chair in Land Management at Henley Business School at the University of Reading from 1989 to 2013 and was appointed Emeritus Professor at Reading in 2013. His academic contributions have earned him several honors, including being an Honorary Professor of Real Estate Investment at the University of Cambridge and receiving multiple awards throughout his career.
