Andrew Brooks is a Senior Lecturer in Media Cultures in the School of Arts and Media at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). His research proposes strategies for understanding contemporary media events, systems, and infrastructures, focusing on how noise and listening impact politics and sociality. His ongoing projects explore themes such as infrastructural inequalities, the politics of race, and the embodiment within media culture.
