Andrew Connor runs courses in 3D modelling animation, integrated design media, and games design theory for the Design Digital Media MSc program. He began his career working in radio, film, and television, primarily with the BBC's World Service, Drama, Children's, and Interactive departments. Andrew completed the University of Edinburgh's MSc program in Sound Design from 2007-2008 and continued to earn a PhD in Creative Music Practice at the university in 2017. His principal research area explores the close relationship between sound and vision in immersive audiovisual creative works. His current practice combines electroacoustic music composition, abstract 3D animation, and immersive virtual environments. Andrew's audiovisual compositions have been performed in Australia, Canada, Germany, Greece, and the USA. He has an active interest in the Edinburgh College of Art’s international connections, especially in developing links with designers, sound designers, and digital artists in India. Currently, he supervises PhD students on topics such as Electroacoustic Composition, Visual Music, Virtual Reality, 3D Animation, Immersive Environments, and Audiovisual Experimentation.
