Biography

Andrew Daly is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary. He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate medical training in Internal Medicine and Hematology at McGill University, followed by a Bone Marrow Transplant Fellowship at the University of Toronto. Currently, Daly serves as the Head of the Hematology Section at the University of Calgary and AHS Calgary Zone. He has held numerous leadership positions, including Medical Director of the Alberta Blood Marrow Transplant Program from 2011 to 2019, and has been Treasurer and President of the Canadian Bone Marrow Transplant Group (CBMTG). His research interests prominently focus on hematopoietic cell transplantation and cellular therapy. He is the Principal Investigator of a national study exploring the use of haploidentical stem cell donors in the Canadian context (CBMTG 1401), and is a member of the Late Effects, Chronic Leukemia, Infection, and GVHD working groups at CIBMTR, as well as serving as an expert clinical reviewer for the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH).
