Biography

Andrew Dean, MD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He completed his undergraduate education at Carleton College and earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. Following medical school, he completed his residency at Advocate Christ Medical Center and Hope Children’s Hospital. Dr. Dean is well-integrated into the emergency medicine community, serving as the State Regional Medical Director and Vice President of Clinical Operations for Southern Wisconsin Emergency Associates. In addition, he is the Medical Director of the Beloit Memorial Hospital Emergency Department, where he oversees community emergency department rotation sites for emergency medicine residency training. He is also the Medical Director for Stateline Regional EMS. Born and raised in Madison, he graduated from West High School, continuing his commitment to serving the local community through his expertise in emergency medicine.
